pearl : something precious or choice; the finest example

We have all heard the story of how a pearl becomes a pearl. A small irritant is lodged in the shell of a mollusk and it begins to coat the intruder. Layer by layer, a protective barrier is formed around this once dangerous and harmful intruder. It is a process. And, it does not happen overnight. In the end, what was once deemed an intruder or a danger becomes a gem. It is beautiful. It communicates perseverance. It is precious.

In a sense, I am that “intruder” and some days I could be called an irritant for sure. But, in the hands of a loving God, I am shaped, molded, covered and formed into something beautiful. And much like a pearl, it does not happen overnight. It is a process. This blog is my process.  My hope is that through my journey you will find encouragement and hope and that you will be reassured of the promises of God.

I am like most 30 year old stay-at-home moms trying to find balance, desiring to live up to the calling, and hoping, at the end of the day, that my actions spoke louder than my words. My loves? Jesus. Hubby. Our munchkins. Coffee. Friendship. Sunshine. Healthy food. Football season. Family. The holidays. Life.

Thanks for stopping by!

  7. I was reading a blog that Tenley from the bachelor added to her twitter and I was laying in bed, not being able to sleep from some back surgery I had about 4 weeks ago that was given me some pain. I began to read the post you posted about the gems on the beach and I was so moved by it and the words you said spoke right to my heart. I needed that. I have been facing a lot and its been really HARD. With-out my KING Im nothing. I have been trying to speak positive things over everything.
Ive been facing a lot. WE have been praying HARD for us to get pregnant and nothing has happen in a few years. we have been tested and pretty much dr told me its in GODs timing. GOd has PROMISED us babies. over people speaking over our life and dreams of the names of our babies..

I had two back surgeries in the past year, so its been hard. IM praying its all over with.

My reason of sending you this, is to tel you thank you for you positive words.
